Ruth has over twenty years experience helping people injured at work, in accidents, or who have disabilities. The legal problems she handles are:

INJURED                                            SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY

  • Workers' Compensation
  • Personal Injury

Sometimes more than one of these areas of law affects the same case, and Ruth knows how they all work together. That is important, because important rights can be endangered if all the proper steps are not taken.

Ruth also makes sure you know what is going on in your case. She welcomes questions and can explain things so you understand them.

She received her law degree in 1980 from the University of Minnesota and has practiced in Mankato since then. Ruth is active in the State Bar Association and has held a number of statewide leadership positions in that organization. She is also active in the community. She has served on and chaired the United Way Board and she has been both a Board of Directors member and a Trustee for the YWCA. She has been named a “Woman of Distinction” and currently serves on the Twin Valley Council of Boy Scouts Executive Board.

She has published a number of articles in professional journals as well. Ruth is very proud of having been a member of a select committee that helped to rewrite Minnesota Jury Instructions for Civil Trials in plain language.
